What is Child Custody Law?

Child custody law focuses on determining who has the right to care for and make decisions for a child after a separation or divorce. Types of Custody:

Physical Custody: Who the child lives with day-to-day.

His legal internships included working for the Honorable Francis X. Altimari of the U.S. Court of Appeals, Second Circuit, and for the United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia.Mr. Bender is admitted to practice in all courts in the Commonwealth of Virginia, as well as courts in New Jersey and Washington, D.C. He is additionally admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western District of Virginia and the Fourth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals.

Mr. Bender is a member of the Richmond Criminal Bar, Henrico County Bar Association, Chesterfield County Bar Association, Virginia Association of Criminal Lawyers and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

David C. Reinhardt

David Reinhardt practices criminal law, civil litigation and personal injury law at the Bender Law Group, serving clients in Richmond and throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Prior to Joining Bender Law Group, Mr. Reinhardt served as an Assistant Public Defender in the Lynchburg Public Defender’s Office. He additionally has firsthand experience in the construction industry.
